Doesn’t Buildium offer rent reporting?

Yes, Rent Reporting, Powered by Buildium is an optional, fee-based service within the Buildium Resident Portal. However, there are a number of limitations for both property managers and  residents. Buildium’s rent reporting is offered directly to the renter, whereas Boom can be implemented via the property manager.

How much does it cost to integrate?

There is no additional cost to integrate Buildium with the Boom Partner Platform. However, you will need to create an account and set up a contract to get started.

Can all Buildium users utilize the integration?

Yes, with a small caveat. Buildium has three plans: Essential, Growth and Premium. If you are on Premium, you have access to Buildium’s Open API. With this plan, Boom can set up its direct API integration. For Essential and Growth plan users who do not have Open API access, Boom will set up its flat file (.csv) integration. Either way, both are an effective way to integrate Buildium and launch your rent reporting program.

I don’t know how to activate my Buildium API, how does it work?

Once you create a Boom account, Boom will reach out to schedule a setup call. They will walk you through API integration activation + key creation or flat file (.csv) integration. The integration call can be completed in 30 minutes.

Does Boom only report on-time payments?

No, Boom can report either on-time only or full file (on-time and delinquent) payments.

Do I have to enroll all renters?

No, not necessarily. Boom allows property managers to enroll all residents or selectively enroll individual residents based on the terms of their lease.

Can I require rent reporting with the Buildium integration?

Yes, if you choose. Regardless of your property management software, Boom allows property managers to enroll renters with the following configurations: (a) required enrollment (no opt out), (b) opt out, or (c) opt in.
