Identity verification with optional selfie check, income verification (via bank account, payroll provider, or document upload), credit report, criminal report (includes incarceration, probation, sex offender, alias, and traffic records), housing court report (unlawful detainers, monetary judgments, and court-ordered possessions), and pet screening.

How much does each application cost?

With BoomScreen, you only pay for the screening services you use. Additionally, Boom allows property managers to determine how much to charge each applicant, making BoomScreen a flexible solution for property managers that want to generate revenue, waive application fees, or offer applications at-cost.

How does Boom’s CRA status differentiate BoomScreen from other tenant screening solutions?

As an FCRA-regulated consumer reporting agency (CRA), Boom fully supports applicants in consumer report disputes. Boom takes on liability management when it comes to any FCRA-related requirements. Applicants come directly to Boom to request copies of their reports, to dispute their reports, and to request data updates.

What if someone isn’t comfortable linking their bank for income verification?

Boom can still verify income if an applicant doesn’t want to link their bank account. There are three ways applicants can verify their income: 1. By securely linking their bank account, 2. By logging into their payroll provider (ex. ADP, Gusto), or 3. By uploading their income documents (ex. pay stubs), which are automatically parsed and checked for fraud.

Do I still need to manually collect income documents with BoomScreen?

No, applicants can upload their documents electronically within the BoomScreen application so property managers no longer need to manually collect income documents.

How fast is the turnaround time for reports?

Report results are returned instantly, so when an applicant submits their application, it’s ready for your review. In some cases, some income document verifications and criminal reports may take extra time, but that isn’t the case for the majority of report results.

Does Boom consider my leasing criteria when recommending a decision?

With BoomScreen, you can set leasing criteria to populate a recommended decision for each applicant.

What if I have properties in multiple states?

No problem! With BoomScreen, you can create multiple application templates based on screening regulations for each jurisdiction you have properties in.

Does BoomScreen support co-signers (“guarantors”)?
